Comptech doesn't carry MIG-welded headers anymore (the cheaper weld), so you'll have to source it from one of their distributors and hope it's in stock.

All Comptech headers are 4-2-1, although they do offer a 4-2-1 "race" header.

Thanks Shingo, the dyno chart was even for a 2000 application.

That header is bank though...is yours worth it?

Wow...interesting, I didnt know they stopped offering the MIG header. Kind of stupid if you ask me...I understand the brand identification theory, but $530 is expensive any way you put it.

The race header has a 2.5" collector and a different tube design. It also eliminates the cat and bolts right onto the exhaust.

I had the Comptech TIG for a long time...very nice header. I would probably opt for a 2.5" collector header though if you plan on slowly building NA. If you plan on boosting, youre wasting your time with this stuff

Mine is well worth it (MIG-weld) but that's only because I bargained big time with the distributor for the whole Comptech I/H/E. Even for a TIG-weld, those prices are borderline ridiculous.

The comptech piece is nice if you're sticking with bolt-ons; for an all-motor setup or JRSC application you'll want something else. It's odd how "cheaper" headers become competitive when you start to shoot for big power (i.e. DC 4-1 and Kamakazi 4-1)
