well i just ordered the autolock cuz itll help out alot but how mcuh would the pager be and does it have a far frequency

 

I have a hornet dei 554t with a 2 way pager. My car was just broken into last night. FOr the pager to go off, you have to be pretty close I have noticed. The antenna is installed correctly, and the settings are correct but yet the range isn't what I expected. Parked my car, went into a bar, 2 hours later my vtec controller and 2 amps were gone with a broken window.

 

dark ass window tint helps too, you can also buy an alarm that has remote start and all that jazz, but it comes with a key chain, and it will tell you if someone is messin with your car, it'll show wut door is open, the hood, etc. my friend has one, you can be anywhere and it'll start your car up or show you if someone is doin somethin, it does it through FM frequency.

 

the range on mine is about 100 yards through walls and other barricades. i can get about twice that with line of sight.

having windows tinted is good, but it attracts attention too. including the cop's attention if you have really dark tint. legal limit is 35% transmission in mass, i have 12%...i've yet to be cited for it though. just don't do something that gives them a reason to harass you. (riiiiiight...like that works )

 

thanks alot. im very protective over my car and i always park in good areas where i can find it easily or people walking around will notice it easier too. im gonna ask around about the pager just b/c i will KILL if i find out its getting f with. i honestly dont care if it gets broken into as long as the car is still there
