Hi, newbie here. I'm not new to modding or racing, but my former car was a 2001 Eclipse GT, but she's been traded in for a Phoenix Yellow 2000 Type R

The dealership I bought her from really wouldn't negotiate considering the rarity of the Type R, but I got her for $21,450 + TTL. Not bad, and my payments are still cheaper than the ones on the Eclipse

Hands down. My friend has an 01 GT. We swapped cars for a day, and I was impressed by the V6. Even with all that weight it was dragging around, it still had some pep. But without that 8400 redline, the gears just seemed too short. But hey, to each his own right?

I test drove a 2001 Eclipse GT. It did feel fairly heavy, kind of large & crowded inside. I didn't like the lack of visibility.
I much prefer my teg, even though it's an LS.

Thanks Integrity, that's exactly what I felt about my Eclipse The engine was very smooth and the shifter was nice and notchy with simple clutch engagement. The only thing that was a downer was the lack of a performance aftermarket I was and still am a member of Club 3G (neweclipse.org) and owe them a debt of gratitude for all of the car knowledge passed on through their forums. But nonetheless, outside of some suspension and exhaust mods (3 small vendors make a downpipe, 2-3 make headers), there was nothing major I could do to make that car go faster :\ A 200 hp V6 on a 3100-3200 lb. chassis was just less "sport" and more "boulevard cruiser." The car was clearly designed around driver comfort for the mass public.
I'm gonna miss the Eclipse, but how do you pass up an ITR if you can afford one and find it available at a dealership with easy financing?

Thanx for the welcome, guys But my car's already got a pretty bad blemish now. On the way to my insurance agent to get a new policy on the ITR, I ran over some jackass' seperated tread (probably a Ford Explorer ) and it broke the bracket on the underside of the drivers side part of the chin spoiler Not to mention the whole left side of the chin spoiler is covered in tire abrasions.
I'm pretty positive I can get the rubber gunk off with some bug & tar remover, but any ideas on the broken bracket? Will adhesive work? I'll take a pic today and post so that you guys can see the damage =\
