I was driving back from the autoshop(I asked them to check for leaks in the powersteering), anyways, at around 4500-5000 rpm in first gear, then shifting to second, there was this loud and aweful cracking or clucking(like *cluck cluck cluck cluck*) sound coming from the front left of the car(i think). It went away after two seconds. This is new and never happened before. I don't know much about cars. What can be wrong? Oh and it's a '93 GSR with 209 km on it.

 

Were you turning? If you were, the first thing that comes to mind would be the CV joints, esp if the sound came from the same direction as one of the wheels....

 

I was going straight when the sound occurred, but before that(5-10seconds before), I was turning right.
