Funny Noise
Hey Peeps
I have a 96 teg, as I increase in speed I have a wearing noise coming from my car. To give you an idea, one of friends, while driving inside, said my car sounds like a plane, another said it sounds like I'm driving in D2 or D1. This noise peeks at 60 mph. Also, the more people in my car the louder it sounds. The noise seems to be coming from the wheels. Does this sound like my wheel bearings need to be changed? Is this a common problem with tegs? Thanks in advance for all help.

any idea where it's coming from? interior, front, back, under hood ? could be a wheel bearing but i would think it would keep making noise at any speed and get worse the faster you go, you can check them easely though, jack up car and check for end play on each wheel, i.e. just bought a rf for 106.00 ouch, it was beck/arnely from an import parts dist. though, as advance auto would have to order and i was in desperate need, other than in suspension, does it sound electrical? i.e. when radio on is it worse? like feed back through alt. or something ? just some ideas, hit back with some more details, when and where from
Thanks Guys
I knew this was the place to turn. You guys were right on the money, it was the back driver side wheel bearing. I had to change it this morning. The part cost $165 from Acura. After changing it, the noise is gone. Thanks again.
