Default replacing rear hubs

Hello, I have a 97 GS with 85000 miles on it. My rear wheels started making a howling noise and im assuming its the bearings. Can anyone tell me if this is something I can do myself or should I pay a shop to put them in?

Unless you have a press, you will have to have a shop take care of it!

You dont need a shop.

The rear bearings are integrated into the hub. Its a hub/bearing unit that can easily be replaced. Its very simple, and shouldnt pose a problem at all as long as you have decent tools. Definitely go at it yourself.

A new hub can be found for next to nothing from a wrecked car...try and find one thats being parted out and you should get it for $20 or so.
