Default door lock problem

i just got a 95 ls and the lock on the driver's door doesnt work. the key wont turn and the manual lock button on the inside wont work( i opened it up and the rod just bends when pushed). the power works fine. so to get in i have to unlock from the passenger's side and then i can open driver's side from the outside. i sprayed some wd in there but i just cant get good enough access to the problem. is there a way to fix this myself? thanks

hmm.... i have the same problem.. still haven't figured it out yet either. i think i may just put actuators in and have it keyless entry so i don't have to bother with the key.

after spraying wd40 and feeling/jiggling around for a while i somehow fixed the inside manual lock button, so now i can at least lock it from the drivers side when i get out, the only problem now is the key wont turn(cant move the connected rod from the inside either). keyless would be nice i guess but i want to fix this. how much can you get actuators for?

just in case anybody happened to still be interested in this thread...

i fixed my driver's door lock problem. i took the whole lock mechanism apart pretty much. i pulled the handle out and removed the lock cam so i could work on it freely. the lock couldnt turn because all the tumblers were corroded stuck into the locked position. i sprayed it with penetrating spray, soaked it banged it, then with the help of graphite lock lube, i pulled all the tumblers out and scrubbed them and the tumbler holes, lots of lube and put the whole thing back together and it works now. i dont know how it got that corroded, it wasnt sitting thattt long, but oh well, end of story.
