help me paint my skirts
ive been wanting to paint my skirts and have been reading (and searching) on advise. ive read alot of posts where people say that they have done it themselves and it has come out good so i figure i give it a try. i do have some painting xperience and have painted a few cars so i dont think it wil b to hard.
ne ways i need to know some suggestions on the grade of the sandpaper and also the best paint to use. ive heard that spray paint doesnt come out too bad if preped and finished right. my car is taffeta white. also what kind of clear coat? how many coats? any and all adivse welcome

When I get some money together im gonna use one of these sights to get a custom fill spray can with my paint color. They also sell the primer and clear coat with the cans and they can add flex additive if requested.

You know I really don't know if that took them off or not. the door moldings i'm pretty sure they didnt and the mirrors the same, since when you go to fold them in the part that is hidden is still black. They charged i think 500 but it is a nice job. The paint has never chipped. Oh this is what happened to the car.

it all depends, i painted my original(factory) skirts and front lip with spray gun and profesionally mixed paint and it did fine but to be honest it didn't do any better than a spray bomp, on my tsunami lip and vis sides and rear i painted them with a spray paint after scuffing them up with scoth brite and cleaning with thinner and they did just as good, as long as you apply evenly and dont put it on to heavey your ok, i didnt clear mine and it matched the car fine, i attached a couple of shots of mine, the 1st couple without the sides and rear i painted with spray gun and matched paint, and the other pictures "with kit" were done with spray paint.
I painted my side skirts on my RSX...we did it with spraypaint..and it looks pretty damn good...I'm going to be getting abody kit sometime in the future, so if it chips oh well...i'll come to that point when I get there...but so far it still looks damn nice. We took the sideskirts off to paint them.
