I was considering using the Spoon Bolt on axle-back rear section. Have any of you used this piece and if so what did you think about it? The guy I bought my R from had a damn 5'' Arospeed Coffee Can welded on the back and it is driving me crazy looking at it. Also, that rear section is available at www.modacar.com for $375 is that a fair price?

One more thing, what will I have to do to make the 98 SPec JDM Header work on my 2000 USDM Motor? Is that a header that will offer decent power Gains?

Thanks for any help or info.

OK...

The "98 SPec JDM Header" will give you nice gains but the flange is 2.5 inches and the stock cat will not fit the new header, you will either have to run a test pipe or get a new cat (such as Carsound). The header will bolt right up to the motor just the same way as your stock one.

As for the Axle back, there are alot of different makes & models- the spoon does sound nice and looks rather cool. I have taken a liking to the 5Zigen cat back that my freind has on his R, simple and not too loud. I know its not that "bling" or the best...

Anyone else have thoughts?

I like the spoon steet version, having heard the N1 muffler, it's a little too loud for my tastes, but all things considered $375 isn't so bad. Spoon also makes the corresponding B-pipe for about the same price.

One thing you may want to be aware of, and I have no idea, good person to ask would be George, is if the Spoon exhaust uses a 2.5 inch collector, cause my Mugen does, and the rear section won't bolt up to the factory B-pipe. You'll want to double check that before buying it.

In all honesty, I would spend another like $150 bucks and get like a Tanabe Hyper Medallion or something comparable, it's not a bad price for a Spoon muffler, but a lot for a muffler in general. Also, I believe HKS also makes an Axle back, as well as comptech. I think I'd probably get the comptech over the spoon, mainly because of volume....

All personal prefference, just dont buy something because of the name...
