Default $2500 Teggy

What kind of Integra could I get for $2500 if I looked for a good deal? 2nd gen? It's just that 1st gen seem so weak, and I would be willing to save up a little while longer. How many miles would I be looking at having on a car for that price? I have done some research, but people in my area are really cheap and sell their cars for more than they are worth so it is hard to find any good deals. I haven't really seen much in this range on Ebay. All I am hoping and looking for is at least a 2nd gen. Integra. Thanks alot for your help.

My 2nd gen has 250,000km on it, all stock, and I had to replace the clutch for the first time in that car. I got it for 1,800 with tax in canada. 1991 GS guts are in good condition and its clean. Goto car dealers and look for trade ins... or maybe I Was just lucky

If I were in your situation I'd keep on saving.

I would keep saving, but I NEED a car now to get around. It is a necessity. I was planning on getting a '94 Integra GS-R with about 90K for about $7,000 but I don't have time to save up that extra $4500. As soon as I buy the 2nd gen., I will being saving for the GSR. It will be about a year after I purchase the 2nd gen, even less actually since I can sell the Integra. By then the car I own will be worth at least $1500, so that leaves only $5,500 to save for, which should take about a half year. I am the kind of guy that waits and looks for great deals, so I will probably getting a good car for $2500. All I need is for this thing to last until I get the GSR. I really wish I could save, but I just can't due to necessity. I won't upgrade the 2nd gen any, that way I can get the GSR faster. Gas and insurance will be another factor in delaying me from getting the GSR. It's like this whole thing is a quest, full of obstacles and impossibilities that make it so I can't own a GSR. Oh well, all I need is 1 or 2 years out of this car so I can save for the GSR. $2500 should buy me a decent car, right?

screw the teggy, just buy a used civic.

probably half the mileage than a used teggy, better model and condition for $2500.

if you want a decent teg, you're gonna need 5+GZ

There's no way I'm getting a Civic. They are way too common and they get on my nerves. Sorry if I offended anyone, I just can't stand them. Where I live, everyone has a Civic, and most people make them rice. The only upgrades they do are Altezzas and exhausts. They don't know what mods are. Once I have my 170 hp GSR, I will upgrade it to about 250 hp and have some fun. I'm planning on a turbo and some other smaller mods. I just wish I could have it now. I've been waiting about 6 months now, and it's really killing me. My work won't give me any hours so I don't have a chance to make money. I wish I could find a LEGAL way to make $7K fast.

Hey,

You could try for a loan if you have good credit. FYI- you can find a high-mile Teg LS or GSR for around 4-5k. Do not let high miles scare you away- look for quality, good condition, etc..remember, our cars can handle very high miles!

Oh and btw with about 3k I think you can get yourself a very nice G2 GS-R..and those are pretty damn quick!

Hey Ruben, that G2 GSR sounds like a good idea. 3K will be toughm but I can do it. Do you think you could help me find one? I haven't seen any around here for sale. What do you mean by "very nice"? low miles, good condition, etc.? Thanks alot for your help.

I found a few GSRs using Autotrader.com, but they were all like 500-1,000 miles away. I couldn't find any closer ones. Maybe if I do get a 2nd gen. GS-R I will just upgrade it and not worry about the '94 GS-R. I like the look of 2nd gens more for some reason. I even saw one on there that was $3200, and it had 127k on it, and it said it had a clean engine. That one was too far away though. I have been to cars.com, usedcars.com, ebay, and autotrader. Where else can I look? Oh yeah, I also look in the paper too. Maybe I should try a police auction too. Please help me out, I think a G2 GS-R is a great idea.
