So basically, according to your theory, you can also say Honda doesn't believe in RWD V8 engines to place in their Acura luxury vehicles because they haven't built that kind of car yet? So that means RWD V8 sedans aren't good?
Come on man, do you realistically see Honda building a turbo engine, although its in some way shape or form in all our wet dreams about Hondas, its not likely to happen. Plus like stated prior, emmissions go way down with those setups, and whats Honda about LEV, Low Emissions Vehicle, even the S2K is LEV. So you see my point here bud? No Honda wouldn't have realized the potential because its not something that would even remotely interest Honda.
Just food for thought...
Mr. Spoon himself has actually commented on LS/VTEC setups, saying he has no idea why people commonly go that route given the options available.
There was a video somewhere where he went in depth about it...I dont remember where that was unfortunately.
The way I see it? No SERIOUS modification to our motors where output is increased by a great amount can reasonably be expected to remain as reliable as stock. So someone saying it may not be a good idea because it may not last 200k like a stock motor would...well...duh.

Even a stock motor pushed hard from racing won't last 200k miles. You play, you pay...period.
