Default TIRE question Nitto Vs Khumo

Which tires are better for Drag or has the most grip on launch... Nitto 450's or Khumo Escata supra 712's? I'm trying to decide between the two.

Thanks, Chase

Dude, do yourself a favor, get the Kumho Ecsta MX. They're a max performance, not an ultra-high performance like the 712s.

$78 each for 205/50/15, I HIGHLY recommend them

I've used both Nitto NT-450's AND Kumho Supra Ecsta 712's, Nitto's are definitly better, they cost more too.
i say go with the NT-450's

I've also used both the 450's and the 712's.
But I dissagree, The Khumos are grippier quieter (nittos squealled like a pig) and seem to last longer. I get the impression that the sidewalls on the 712 is much stronger than the 450's, I drive the car pretty harshly and with all the potholes here in sac the nittos ended up blistering on the sides, the Khumos however sare still holding strong.

The sidewall on my MXs are a LOT stiffer than my SP5000s were. I don't know how fair it would be to compare the two though, one being a max performance, the other an all-season.

Nitto 450's are the worst tires ever made. Get some kumhos.
