Default Integra convertable?

I recently saw a picture of this guy in Pennsylvania that turned his '92 'teg into a convertable in hopes of making it much lighter and faster. However, someone signed his guestbook and said that it weakens the unibody. True? False?

it sure would. The structural integrity would be shot. He would have to get it reinforced somehow

Yeah the structural integrity/rigidity of the car would be shot, but I still wanna see what it looks like.

Most convertibles are HEAVIER than their normal counterparts due to chassis stiffening and whatnot.

If he wants his car to be lighter, tell him to take off his doors before he races.

Convertibles are routinely heavier than hard top's of the same make.

This should suggest something to you.
