I recently saw a picture of this guy in Pennsylvania that turned his '92 'teg into a convertable in hopes of making it much lighter and faster. However, someone signed his guestbook and said that it weakens the unibody. True? False?
Most convertibles are HEAVIER than their normal counterparts due to chassis stiffening and whatnot.
If he wants his car to be lighter, tell him to take off his doors before he races.
