Master cylinder?
Today I was under the dash and noticed that near my clutch there was some fluid that was dripping, it is dried up now. I was wondering if this was my master cylinder leaking? Is this normal? It is close to where the clutch goes through the fire wall from what i can remember. Anyone has this problem?
when my master cyclinder went i lost pressure in my clutch pedal....i got mine replaced for uhhh 300 i think with parts and labor i may be off 100 $'s anyways maye you should trace your problem to it's source
That is exactly what happened when my master cylinder went, as long as you keep the fuid topped up you can drive without any problems but eventually it will leak to much so you should have it replaced. Also you often have to have your slave cylinder replaced at the same time, just a heads up.
Not sure about the terms. Well there is definitly oil near under the dash. It is on the metal rod that is attatched to the clutch pedal that goes thru the fire wall. What is this called? Slave? what is the master cylinder? is it the biground thing in the egine bay?

Does your clutch still work the same? Maybe you have a boken seal.
