I am thinking about buying a 94 ls teg with a lot of miles and then swapping out the engine. i was wondering what engine would be the best for the money to swap with? I am lookin at the gsr engine. just wonderin what u guys think. Or what about buyin a ls with lower miles and putting a super charger on it???

get rid of the b18b (the LS engine), and get a b18c1 (gs-r). No matter what you do to the car, you'll be much happier starting from a base of 170 hp, than from a base of 142 hp.

The most cost-effective route to go with a LS engine is via turbocharging. Supercharged B18b's just don't make significant power. How many miles are we talking about?

I would get a lower mileage LS and turbo it.

Agreed. LS engines are cheaper and easier to find since everyone and their brother wants to do a GS-R/Type R swap. Plus there are more GS/LS/RS's than GS-R's and Type R's.

just put on a bunch of stickers and sprayer nozzle lights and you'll be as fast as a ITR

I thought a few companies, such as Greddy make CARB legal kits for tegs?
