transmission conversion
what's ups minetegra, i just did a auto to manual conversion on my 2000 LS, it's alot of work but i think it's well worth it in the end. It just all depends on what you have on your car and do you plan on keeping it. My conversion costs me $2500.00 for parts and labor and like a 2 week downtime. If i was to do it all over again, i would probably buy a JDM Integra Type R Front Clip cause i'm pretty sure that will give you everything you need. From pedals, shift linkage, clutch cylinders to the tranny and you'll get a Type R motor as well which i ended up buying anyways. They way i saw it, I already spent like $10,000 on my car and i still wasn't happy when i drove it due to the fact of the granny shifter. Now i couldn't be more satified with my car. I guess it's cause the fact that it's now a 13 sec , 2 liter all motor street warrior.
i had a 92 civic auto and i did the swap to 5 speed. the car wasn't worth much but i spent about $2300 on the swap. when i took it to the dealership to trade it in for my 97 civic, they were like thanks for not bringing us a gay automatic! and gave me $3000 more than what my car blue booked for. auto to manual doesn't hurt resale value so if you've never sold a car that you've done auto to manual swap, don't say the resale value sucks.
