Default Cheap Header???

Well the modding to my 90 gs is about to begin..I'm getting a very very cheap cai from procarparts off ebay (and I think I'll just pop a K&N filter on). I am looking for a header now but DO NOT want to spend 300 bucks...my friend has a hp racing on his civic ex and it sounds alright and seems to hold up well. What are some alternative cheaper brands for a header besides dc, comptech and greddy? But one that won't crack easily because I was thinking of running a zex 35 or 55 shot after I/H/E. (I'm shooting for 200 dollars max plus shipping if its possible...)
Thanks,
Mike

OK....you're wanting to spend an assload to put nitrous in your car but you don't want to shell out $300 for a quality header. Instead you would rather get one that is cheaper and sounds better along with a really cheap intake?
What exactly are you trying to achieve besides staying below a budget?

umm.. i definitely agree.

getting a cheap header that will more than likely crack and a cheapo intake isnt a very good choice to run even with a 25shot of zex or nos or nx or whatever.

the all time motto for any car is.."treat your car how you want it to treat you"..

If you just want to keep the header, and intake.. thats fine and it will work fine... but when you start adding any type of forced induction, then thats where them cheapo headers and intake will fukc you over.

So do yourself a favor..
And save some money in the long run by buying better quality parts to begin with rather then realizing it and wasting even more money after you go out and buy the better quality parts after your other parts cause damage.

hope ya take it into consideraton.

It is ignorant to believe that an AEM intake is way better than a generic cold air intake with K&N filter. It's a pipe and a filter!!! I'm not expecting an intake to do wonders, its just a start..a necessity. I know for nitrous that I would need a good header and I forgot to consider that but if I didn't get nitrous what is a cheaper header I could get? I just want a good quality cheaper product in which I'm not paying 100 extra bucks for the name.

Sooo...does anyone have any header other than Greddy , DC, or Comptech on their car???

The AEM CAI does in fact make more power than a crappy generic intake. Not a huge quantity, but it does produce higher numbers on the dyno.

You want a cheap header, get something that is ceramic-coated mild steel.

You want a quality header, get something that is stainless steel.

I'm asking for brands guys. I know that ceramic is cheaper and more likely to crack but I was asking for makers of headers not kinds. Doesn't ANYONE have anything but a fuggin DC or Comptech header on their Teg?

KOS headers are "supposedly" dope.
but i've never driven behind the wheel of a car with a KOS header, so i wouldnt be able to tell you what kinda power gains you might expect.

but my dc ceramic with a 2.5 inch collector is super.
i'd defintely reccomend dc sports.
