Hows your receiption with the antenna down listening to the radio??

 

Yeah mine is stuck half way up. When you turn the radio on it tries to push up it up but I think its bent near the bottom. I had to bend it back to get it farther down but it still can't go down all the way. So I just pushed it down as far as I could so atleast it doesnt look like a toy car. I don't care if the reception is worse though. :/

 

gsr2K, mine has that problem, the white toothed plastic strip came out and the antenna does not go up or down, do i have to dissassemble the whole thing to get that peice in again, or can i slide it in from the top or something???

 

No, its just like a light switch in your house. You flip it up and the antenna goes up and stays up. Flip it down, and the antenna goes down and stays down. There are only two positions, up and down.

 

its awful, the radio comes in very fuzzy.

BTW i used a plain black push button switch from radio shack. You just press it once, to put the antenna up and down.

I was stumped for a while because the wire was not yellow w/ green stripe, then i found one that said antenna power, cuz i have an aftermarket head unit.

 

i still got the stok unit in my car and had some trouble finding that wire that is green and yellow?? i found A green wire and also a seperate yellow one. are those it or is it one that has both colors on it. i bought a switch that will fit in the slots next to the emrg. brake but its a bit too small. ne one know of something i could like put behind the switch that i could cut a hole into or something. dont think i xplained very well
