i would really like to dyno my teg. engine is 100% stock w/ only a k&n drop-in.. but the thing is peppy as hell @ 125k miles, especially in this frigid weather.

compression isn't even straight across (but still within spec when i last checked). 2 middle cylinders were down a bit. i'm thinking it's the head gasket between them. but no burning of oil, nor loss of coolant. in fact, i just checked the oil 3000 miles after the last change, and the level was perfect.

i was at 1/4 throttle and wheel-hopping out of a gas station today. i was like, "what the hell? what was that?" hehe..

*knock on wood*, hope i didn't just jinx myself..

i think it all comes down to maintenance.. keeping your **** in check, and i'm pretty anal about that. i also don't have heavy ass 17s weighing me down.

why are you laughing? it's evidently true given your story. get rid of those 17s and you'll notice a big improvement. next, find out the truth behind your friend's mods.
