Default Timing HELP

Hello i was wondering if the timing position is the same for all B18 motors Like B18A1
B18B1
B18C1
or is there a diffrent way to time all these motors. Im talking about the mark that you line up when doing the timing. If they are diffrent dose anyone have the diagram for a B18A1 timing position.

No, timing is not the same for all motors.

Take a look at this, and while you're at it, join the forum. A LOT of great info and articles.

match the white line with the pointer.

hand crank the crank pulley about 5 times and see if the white mark ends on pointer and the two cam sprockets in the up position @ #1 piston at tdc. if it does then your good. if not line it up and do it again.

ps spin the crank pulley in the appropriate direction only.

If you are asking about camshaft and belt timing, then yes it's the same.

that's what I thought at first, because crank/cam timing is pretty fool proof to mess up or not know how to do.

Ok, well you should have a red and a white mark in the crank pulley. When you are setting camshaft timing use the white mark. When setting ignition timing, use the red mark
