ls/vtec did not come standard on any car. it is the mating of an ls block (b18a/b) to a vtec head (b18c, b16, etc.) but dont think its as simple as just slapping a vtec head onto the ls block and calling it a day.

1) Yeah, that is probably a bit low, but deals do pop up on occasion.

2) Depends how you build it and what parts you use, I've heard anywhere from 170-210 hp.

I've seen lower than 170 before, and the 240 would be a high compression race setup.

I wouldn't say full race setup. Technically a bored-out LS block with a VTEC head is still an LSVTEC.

well, yeah, I mean joe blow's average LS/VTEC... but if you guys think that way, a 350hp bored and stroked turbo is an LS/VTEC too

I'm planning to ls/vtec my 'teg, but a word of warning, I would not try to boost an ls/vtec, because u're putting stress on 2 parts that were not meant to go together, let alone trying to force induction it. FI is not a good idea, things will probably break.

That's all relative. Any motor will handle boost just fine if you build it strong enough and tune it well.
