Default Help with 2001 Integra Alarm

I did a search in the forums for the question I have, but I can't seem to hit the right words.

My 2001 Integra doesn't make a noise when you press the factory key fob to lock or unlock it. All the other parts of the alarm system work. Is there some sequence of button presses that I have done by accident that has disabled this feature.

If so, can you tell me where I can find out how to reenable it or the instructions on using the alarm. I cannot find the alarm in any of the manuals I have.

Thanks,

Ronaldo

Default More Information

The unit is an Automate which I understand is an aftermarket. The lights still flash when you use the button. The LED does not flash on the dash and the doors do not automatically lock.

I'm assuming that this is in some sort of valet mode. Any idea how to get it out of this mode. I looked for a switch under the dash but did not find one.

there should be a serial number on the key fob. do a search on the net for it to find out what specific automate alarm it is. thats the only real suggestion i can make right now. merry xmas

If it is a factory remote, try holding the option and lock buttons at the same time until the light on the fob flashes. This turns the chirp on, if it is a factory setup.

Default Found the problem

I finally found what was going on. There is a switch. It was mounted in the glove box and was black. It was just hard to find

I switched the key on, then off and pressed the button.

It is out of the valet mode and works fine.
