Default rattling 2k rear bumper on 96 body teg..help!

I've had this problem for some time, and never bothered to do anything about it. I have a 96 2dr integra with a 2000 rear bumper + oem rear skirts. The damn thing is quiet until driving over certain kinds of bumps at certain speeds (i.e. small bumps going fast). It's almost like a slamming sound. I went to several speed shops in my area, and they claim that it's not the rear bumper at all.

They think that my springs' coils are hitting each other and making this slamming sound. They claim that if there's no silicone liner on the springs (which there isn't), then when compressed quickly enough, they will make a slamming noise.

That seems kinda funky to me....regardless, I played with the rear bumper a little the other day and realized that it seemed a little loose. The OEM rear valances seem a bit loose as well. I pressed the bumpers sides and rear in, and shook it, and got a mild rattling (not unlike the one I hear when driving). I'm 95% convinced the **** is loose.

Does anyone have any experience with this? If not, does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the rear bumper and reinstall it PROPERLY? I basically took the parts to a body shop and had them do the work (my car was being repainted) a long time ago. Please advise.

i don't think it's loose, but if that's what you think the problem is...then take it off and reinstall it.there are 4 screws inside the trunks,2 underneath the car,and 1 on each side above the wheel.
if you reinstall it when you take it off you should be able to figure out the problem(that's if the bumper is causing the problem).
