Default A not so new n00b

Whats up guys. Not new to the site but new to ACTUALLY owning a Honda haha. Joined here in '03 when I was about to buy a CRX but I never went that route, and despite my user nane, never owned a DSM either (thank god).. Long story.

Anyways I picked up 94 LS 5spd a couple of months ago from Chicago. It was the first/only unmolested Integra that I found for sale so I went down and made an offer for slightly more than I was planning on spending for a daily "beater". Ended up picking it up for $2700 which I consider a fair deal, nothing to brag about but it beats having to rip out neons and fix body panels. It was a two owner car, single family. An older guy bought it in 94 and sold it to his god son who was in his 30s in 2000. It has never seen a single modification,
the only thing "after market" was the floor mats.

The only things I have done are tint/alarm, and aside from eventually looking for a set of LS/mesh wheels to replace the sweet/uber rare 14" steelies, thats all I ever plan on doing. The car needs a few things fixed, E-brake does not work (common problem?), the oil pan gasket is shot, a wheel speed sensor is inop, and my brake master cylinder is bypassing internally. Nothing horrible, just enough to keep me busy over the winter when not working on another project.

Thought I would throw a quick intro up since I will most likely posting in here from time to time.

Oh and I cannot for the life of me aim my headlights. They won't go up and they are practically pointed down at a 45* angle. Add that to the list of "to-do"s.

-Mike

Congrats man looks like you have a small project on your hands.

Are you sure you're not adjusting the lateral adjustment on the headlights? the vertical adjustment is more underneath the assembly by the high beam bulb. as for the ebrake, I've never heard of it. It sounds more like a rear brake caliper issue, but maybe it is a more common problem :dunno:

To be honest I spent about 5 minutes trying to adjust them and got side tracked with something else. Two of the adjusters (Inner most I believe) were clearly exposed but the outer adjusters, which I am assuming are for vertical adjustment, are blocked by the chassis, almost like I have to remove the headlamps to get to them. I couldn't even get my thinnest 10mm wrench on them.

As for the E-brake, I had the car up at work and had my co-worker pull the E-brake, the cable moves slightly at both calipers, but neither wheels lock. Seems like a caliper issue, but I know for sure when I end up doing rear brakes. Would have been nice to add remote start with my alarm but it would have been pointless since I can't park it in neutral!

I bought this to replace my 00 Eclipse GT with MPG being my main concern. It is so nice to be getting 32MPG all day long. Should have bought a Honda a long time ago haha.

the outermost adjuster is the lateral adjustment.
