Default Intake Manifold Options

Well I have only found 2 options for buying an intake manifold for my 95 LS. I'm planning on boosting hopefully in the near future and I have been told that this would be a good step before installing the turbo.
I've seen the JG and the Skunk2 manifolds. I haven't seen much information on the JG except that it is 7lbs. lighter than the stock manifold. For the Skunk2s, they say that they produce 8-15 more hp over stock and even more on turbo engines. Skunk2 also says that they are great for revving from 7-10,000 RPM. Last time I checked, I redlined at around 6800 RPM soooooo. JG's manifold is about $50 more than Skunk2's also.
Any suggestions, stories, or whatever please let me know. Thanks.

i heard VENOM's intake manifold is ideal for turbo applications due to the LARGE plenum and interior surface area (~$500 tho )

JG and Venom are both too big imho. They are for high-boost motors that already have a ton of turbo lag. For a more reasonable setup I would stick with skunk2.

Can it really be TOO big though if it weighs 7 lbs less? It's allowing more air right so is there really a problem?

That's like saying that a 5" inch exhaust allows more air so why not get one.

I guess you're right but tell me what the downside to the large size is then.

Bigger does not always mean better. Its all about design. JG is a divison of EDLEBROCK, one of the oldest and most reputable companies when it comes to intake manifild manufactures. I would say go with them or Skun2, those are your BEST options.
