Psl's clean up/build thread







It was tuned with a VAFC (garbage) and put down 264whp. It will be retuned on E85, and I'm doing a custom fuel setup with the fuel cell in the trunk. It's going to be tuned on two settings, low boost and high boost. My friend with a B16 hatch has almost the same setup, and got 601whp on a stock sleeve, stock compression B16, also tuned on E85. I'll be some where around that range after tuning.
The guy is only trading me because he's having a kid, and needs back seats and A/C.
I never really liked del Sol's, but this one catches my eye especially.
As it turns out, I'm not getting it... The dumb SOB that owns the car blew it up last Sunday. Turns out he was on stock REUSED headstuds, beat the shit out of the car and the head lifted and hydrolocked the motor, resulting in cracking cyl #4's sleeve.
I'm buying the turbo kit off him, though.
I was against turboing the car, but I'm getting a daily beater now, so I can afford to have possible down time with the GSR. She's going to be an E85 powered turbo/Nitrous monster!!!

I wish it would be.. I got the kit, but the manifold is garbage. Super cheap like an eBay manifold.
Going to pick up a Full Race top mount maybe, or another ram horn and go from there.

A little half-update:
I put Hard Race upper mounts in, an Avid billet rear mount, and Avid billet aluminum torque mounts. The vibration is nasty, and I don't even want to drive the car. I dropped the lower torque mounts until Avid sends me softer bushings for them.
