Default help, my teg is leaking water!

My 94 Teg is leaking water everytime it rains, the floor boards are getting soaked, anyone ever have this problem? I can not find where its coming from, it does have a sunroof, do the sunroofs have some kind of a drain around them for water? Thanks for any help.

join the club...

it can be a few things:
1) and most likely - the gasket between your taillights and the metal are leaking water into the hatch. Remedy: Replace the gasket

2) There are drainage pipes that goes down the sides of the hatch (behind the panelling). Once in a while those can get clogged. Remedy: Inspect the piping and unclog if you can or replace.

3) The weatherstripping around the hatch opening is old and leaking. Remedy: Replace the stripping with new stuff or try reconditioning it to bring it back to life- that might work.

my guess would be about 2-3 hours labor, ~$50 in parts, and about 2-3 days because they would have to order the parts.

That happened to me once. The water was puddling on the passenger side floor. Turns out there was a plug missing from the plastic thing at the bottom of the windshield (on the outside of the car). They cost like $1.50. If you're missing a plug then put duct tape over it until you can go get a replacement.
