HKS Hi-Power exhaust? anyone know of a thick exhaust that is QUIET?
Pretty much all of the bolt-on catbacks out there use 2.25" pipes. Thermal R&D sells a turbo-specific 3" catback. If you get a 2.25" system now, it'll be too small once you get the turbo. If you get a 3" system now, it'll be way too big until you get the turbo. Neither option is really ideal. Either keep it stock or buy a 2.25" system for now and sell it when you get the turbo.

The appearance doesn't draw unwanted attention, but the sound is definitely noticeable. Actually I'm not sure whether you want to pay that much cash to get a generic looking tip (my biggest gripe w/Comptech)....

im in the same rut as you are. I want a quiet 2.5" peformance exhaust.
Here's my idea.
2.5" custom piping from Midas with resonator $130 + JDM type R muffler (jdm type r's had 2.5" piping compared to usdm 2.25")

Just buy somebody's used A'PEXi WS for now. Run it until you get a turbo and then sell it again. You'll make most if not all of your money back. If you sell it for a little less just consider the difference as the cost of "renting" the exhaust for a few months.
