The installation is really easy, just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one (at least that's how it is on my 90), but you might have a hard time getting the old one out, they tend to get in there pretty tight.
I don't know about the G3's but on the G2's you don't need to raise the car. It's on the passenger side of the exhaust manifold, really easy to see. I think on the G3's it's right before and after the cat
