Are the 99 GSR and the 99 ITR ECU plugs the same?

They're both OBDII.
I would say yes.
I'm not sure though.

yea i found out they would. Im just trying to find a ecu with the latest plugs so i can use it to run my 2001 GSR swap in my civic. I was told that running a type R ecu with my GSR swap would make it run poorly so it doesnt really matter to much. Anyone know where i can find a late 98 or 99 GSR ecu for a decent price?

Just go to a junkyard or some dyno tuning place. Most shops I've ran into have ECU's lying around or are able to get them for you. Unfortunatly they charge a decent amount for them now... and yes, get a GSR ecu.

If you have a 2001 GSR swap you need an ecu from 99 and above, the 98 has different plugs.

I would assume the '00-'01 have different plugs than the '94-'99.

Hey guys... isn't there something with that stupid GSR intake manifold... it has 2 butterflies or some weird shizz that is controlled by the ECU... is he gonna be ok with an ECU from a car that doesn't have the regular intake manifold?
