Default clutch needs more play?

So right now my clutch is engaging almost instantly when you press down. I know how to adjust the clutch i just was wondering which way to I turn the wrench if I have it on the right side of the if you were sitting in the driver seat.

Up or down to give yourself more play?

You're missing a noun.

And if the clutch pedal is level with the brake pedal, you should be fine.
The pedal assembly is designed to adjust in accordance with clutch wear, so that pedal stroke is constant.

Check the following specs:
* Pedal height to the floor (from the back of the pedal to the firewall) should be 6.5"
* Total stroke should be no more than 5.5".

If either of those are out of spec, get back to us and we'll walk you through the process of re-adjusting things.
