I realize this is going to sound pretty stupid, but hey.

So I recently bought my second car, 2000 Integra SE. To make it short I drove home (half a KM) with the E-Brake on. Two things. One, I smelt some sort of burning when I exited the car, is anything wrong? Two, did the safety not pass correctly then?

On a side note, the interior light for the ceiling of the car is not perfect. It needs to be pushed to turn on. (pressure applied to the fixture to get light to come on, does not just turn on with the switch) Unfortunately I did not test this before I bought it. Can that be fixed easily?

I'm sorry for the very stupid questions, I hope there have been worse ones.

Try replacing the bulb first to see if the problem still persists.

Was the brake rotor cherry red(glowing)? The pads may be ruined since you overheated them and then they might crack and break apart through time. My advice is to look at the pads and see if there are any cracks on the friction material. Also see if you have any heat spots on the rotor.

 

Stupid me did notice the glowing red cherry light, not realizing what it was until it was over.

I'll replace the bulb as well.

He's talking about the rotor, the brake rotor will be glowing red due to the massive friction with the E-brake on...
