The windshield washer motor is the pump that you hear running to squirt the fluid on your windshield. I bought the one for the front/rear but that's not what you want, you want the wiper motor.

I dunno if this helped but a few years ago when my teg was broken in to and my column was messed up, afterward my wiper only worked on the high setting. Also, the same thing you mentioned happened, I couldn't get the wipers down, I had to time it at the bottom and manually shut it off. I took the handle apart and clean the contacts and moved the metal thing (you'll know what i'm talking about) inside over one set. Put it together and it worked perfectly, not sure how it shifted over but try it.

If you have the time to bump a thread, you have the time to use the search button. :a:

A reasonable step would be to replace the wiper motor with a known-good one. If that solves the problem, great.. otherwise, the problem may lie in the switch on the steering column.

You have yet to prove yourself competent at anything more complicated than remembering to breathe. So I'm going to assume that you need to be walked through even the most obvious steps of diagnosis.

If you want to remove the motor, get a Haynes manual ... or better yet the factory shop manual from HELMS.

dude. the only question i was asking if it is a difficult task...Some one on this site must have done it before. I helped my buddy do it on a 1995 F150 and it wasnt to bad but frustrating...

plain and simple-

For anyone that has done this task before did you think it was hard or very straight forward?.
