Default Do I need an alignment?

I just had my front wheel bearing replaced, and the shop recommended to me that I do a 4-wheel alignment. I think this is BS and they are just trying to upsell me.

Is an alignment necessary after a bearing replacement?

If your car doesn't pull at all, either to the right or left when going straight on a level road then I would say that an alignment is not necessary.

If, however, you do feel a slight pull to either side then I would get an alignment to get rid of it.

Yes get it aligned. Even when doing little things like changing wheels for bigger ones you always need alighnment. Even if you don't feel change handling or ride. Your tires may be wearing unevenly.

When was the last time the car was aligned? I would check the condition of your tires and then that will determine if you need one. Whenever I replace tires I always recommend an alignment. I just don't know why they just asked you, they might be trying to get some more money out of you though.

ya I put 17's on my old car and I had crazy metal mesh tire wear 5 mounts later. My ASE Master Technition automotive teacher told me the reason was I didn't align it so I had excessive tire wear on the inside.

Well man it's your car. I've always been taught if you dissassemble most any part of the steering or suspension you should align afterwards. Do you have to align it. No, It may not have change any angle of camber toe, and Caster. Is it a good Ideal to get the front end aligned just be sure. Yes.

no it is not necessary, I used to work for Les Schwab, you don't have to align it. If he was a good mechanic, they always put things back together how they found them.
