If you have the money for the swap do the K20-R motor. JDM-220hp or more affordable B18C5(Type R)

x2. If you want a vtec engine just put the head on the one you have now. It has slightly higher displacement. The money you spend on a new engine could be put into the engine you have now unless theres something wrong with the one you have now.

Good choice it's gingas though. Yeah 220 hp would be sick. If I had the money I'd do one myself.

A member here hit 260whp on a c1 with 11psi out of the GReddy kit. If you can find someone to tune, I could see upwards of 200whp being possible with the stock GReddy kit and a chipped ECU. You shouldn't run into as many problems with CARB and you don't need a new engine.
