Default AEM fuel pressure regulator question

Hi guys, just installed an aem fuel pressure regulator with venom fuel rail and B&M fuel pressure gauge. Before disassembling I took some baseline measurements off the fuel filter with the gauge and it read 38 psi vacuum connected on the stock regulator, and 47 psi vacuum disconnected. I used the port on the fuel rail for the gauge and installed everything. Adjusted the regulator to 38psi stock setting with vacuum connected. With the vacuum disconnected it also read 38 psi. Not sure if this is right? Any clue if I should have done something differently or make 2 seperate adjustment? I'm thinking that setting it once with the vacuum connected should be right? btw I plugged the vacuum when disconnecting it.

Sound like the fuel pressure regulator is not working (I know I'm caption obvious). If you want set it to the higher speck this will keep it all good at higher rpms but it will run you rich at idle. What vac line are you using on some cars thy still have ported vac lines at the throttle. This is different than manifold vacuum it increases at half open throttle and drops of a wot it is use for the old evap system.

It's the vacuum that came off the stock regulator. I bought this used with the fuel rail, so hope that it's not broken. Anyway I can fix it? or if the valve is stuck inside? The readings should be the same at the fuel filter and fuel rail?

Just sounds like a bad regulator its not responding to the vac signal. No real fix but get a new one. But if the adjuster nut will changing your psi just set it high and kiss you nice idle goodbye.

The reading are the same on the fuel rail and after the fuel filter. The fuel pressure regulator is after both.

Where are you plugging the vac line into the throttle body or the intake manifold.

http://home.comcast.net/~chadwick.ro..._explained.pdf if you want the hole story. we do not use venture vacuum it only is for carberated cars.

It's coming off the intake manifold. I did some more adjusting yesterday with the vacuum disconnected and reconnected. It was about 2 psi less with vacuum connected. All fell within spec., but on the high end when connected and low end when disconnected. I guess this should be okay! This wouldn't affect anything much right? Anyways thanks for the help guys

BTW the car is boosted. Would it be fine? Not sure if the fuel pressure is suppose to increase with forced induction.

Normally you have low pressure with the vac line connected and high pressure with it Disconnected.

So it is working then I take it. You should be fine. What are you using as far as fuel management? The stock fuel management systems never like boost. Hear is a shit lode of info.http://www.hondata.com/tech.html just click on s100.

I actually just upgraded to Crome today with 550 cc injectors and 255 fuel pump. Finally I can get rid of that shit piggy back system. Dyno day is tomorrow, so I'm pretty siked. Just want to make sure everything is in working order. Thanks for the help! I repost with results.

Nice, post the results. Do you have a wide band for safety, see if you are running lean? http://www.hondata.com/techplx.html plx's are ok.

I have heard good things about Crome i need to do some research on it.

Will you have 2 or 3 step rev limiters or anti lag capabilities?

Don't have wide band, but the tuner should have one for the tune. What is a 2 or 3 step rev limiter? I'm familiar with how a rev limiter works, but pretty new to these ecu tuning features. Being my first tune ever, I'm hoping to learn more about it.
