97 rear interior panel
Ive just bought a 97 integra and am in the process of replacing the back panels. My question is the old panel looks like its it notched out at the front were the panel i got out of the junk yard is not.(hope that makes sence) I checked the numbers on the back of the parts and they are the same, any ideas? Should i just notch out the new panel?
Which panel are you talking about?
Is it the panel that covers the back panel of the trunk area (i.e, covering the tailight wire harness)?
Or one of the large panels that cover the rear passenger area, the rear shock towers and the sides of the trunk?
I'm assuming your Integra is a coupe, BTW.

Yea im sorry, its a 97 hatchback two door gs. I am talking about the panel that covers the side.
Now this is what the panel looks like that came out of it. See how the bottom right coner as a notch in it, the one i got out of the junk yard is just straight. And like i said before the part numbers on the rear are the same.

You should be able to install the new panel without cutting it.
I have a 97 LS coupe and my panel is notched. But from all the times I've been working around that area, that little notch just gives a little extra clearance for the end of the steel brace bolted into the floorpan just behind the round access panel for the fuel pump assembly.
It seems to have acres of room though, so I would try to install the new panel and only trim it if absolutely necessary.
