wheel bearings
Wow, alot of hub assembly questions lately...when i first bought my teggy, i heard a slight noise coming from her and ignored it...BAD CHOICE...anyways long story short i thought it was her brakes squealing but it wan't my buddy told me it was a wheel bearing, and for some reason when they go out...they go out in a bang. So we removed the hub assembly and took the knuckle to napa and got the old bearing pressed out and installed a new bearing and since then she's ran like a champ....but i went hog wild and replaced all 4 wheel bearings...let me tell you the trailing arm is a hassle to install by yourself. While your at it go to delray acura website and purchase the 5 lug wheelbearings from there and get all the bearings installed and then get some new rims and there you go! you just earned 10 cool points...lol
in regards to the loud grinding sound i have a 98 ls in my civic amd an ls tranny and i just started hearing a really really lous nouse while im going straight coming from my front left tire from what you guys are saying it sounds like i need to get that bearing replace asap it all started when i noticed my axle nut was really really loose so i tightened it then i started hearing the noise after i started driving before my tires were squeaking so i thought it could be the bearing but now i know :irock:

i dunno why lol, my car vibrates a lot due to my solid motor mounts for my swap, but honestly i have no clue why it was loose. im just glad that i found out before it fell off and i had even more problems to worry about
umm...solid motor mounts are a bad choice to have in my opinion. it shimmys and vibrates the hell out of the chassis. i mean how would you like it if you had no gloves to insulate your hands from vibration from a jackhammer on crack? at first you'll hold out but you grow weak over time. but that's my opinion though.
yea i know i didnt put the mounts in myself i bought the car with them like that but if i can find softer ones that will fit im definetly gonna put them on i mean i can deal with the car shaking a lil bit more than necessary but like you said i dont think the chassis will i mean it is a 1990 body lol
