Default Interior Question

I just got married and moved an hour away from where I work. I am thinking of buying a gsr for a daily driver. My problem is I have 3 small children so I need a car that seats 5 and I don't want a 4 door, I have seen people swap integra rear seats into a civic and I was wondering if anyone knew if the civic rear seat would fit into an integra? Thanks.

It might but I'm pretty sure you can get a rear integra seat out of jdm or canadian models that dont' have that plastic tray in the middle. You're gonna be craming though. I think the only reason why they put the back seat in the integra is for insurance costs you know. Because 2 seaters are way more expensive insurance. You gotta think about seatbelts though. There is only two in the back. You'd have to modify a seatbelt for the center and I don't even know if that is dot legal or not.

Short answer: No. Not in a manner that is safe to carry 3 people in the back.

There is no way to mount a center seatbelt back there.
And even if there were...there is no way in hell you're going to fit 3 child safety seats side by side back there. The back seat area is simply too narrow.

Solution: Find a 94-01 Integra GSR sedan.

The DB7/8 sedan is still damned good looking and solves all of these problems at once. You get the room and the belts you need to get the job done. The sedan didn't sell as well as the GSR coupe, so you'll need to do some searching. But your kids will be safer and you'll still have a very enjoyable car to drive.

hi i too had the same problem. needing a commuter car that can carry two adults and two kids. i have a three yr old and a 8 mn old. i was riding around in an 91 civic before but needed more room.
i just bought a gsr sedan, and it works well for two car seats in the back. i don't know if it would fit three though. i use the britax roundabout, btw. sometimes my wife sits in the back with the baby when we ride back home due to him crying sometimes. we commute like a 1hr and half one way. traffics sucks in the I.E. when she rides back there she has a hard time putting on the seat belt due to the second car seat sitting in the middle. she is petite in size, 5', 110lb.
you may need to upgrade to a bigger car.....

Thanks for the help everyone guess I'll have to go to 4 doors that seems like the safest option.
