Default 1991 integra engine rebuild????

from the title-
that my year integra.
it has OBD0 engine and i want to make it my project car an use my soon to be wrx as my DD...

my main question is, is building that engine goin to be a waste of time.

it is completly different then other LS engines...

im thinking LS/Vtec or better LS turbo...i want to fully build it...

so should i keep the stock eninge or find a 94 LS engine to build...????

convert it to obd1 so you have more tuning options. other than that build it like you would any other b18a/b.

So find a 93-94 LS engine and build it out side of the car...then worry about wiring last...

what are some internal mods for a LS turbo..that should consider...
dont go into detail just quick things
-Injecters
-rods?
-pistons?
-cams-?

if your going boost and want the safest approach look at sleeving the block.

and going boost and building from ground up best bet is just to start clean and look at all new everything.

internally on a boosted application big items are

forged rods
low compression forged pistons
rings
bearings
seals

with boost comes a need for more fuel...so injectors are something to research, also probably want to look at a upgraded fuel pump.

headwork wise you can run stock initially and be ok...but down the road a turbo cam as well as upgraded valvetrain is always nice.

and dont forget a free-flowing exhaust

theres tons more, you have a lot of research to do

thanks...i thought it over an im not going to do a turbo YET...im still going with a 94 LS and im goin to build it up the best my pockets will let me...im aiming for something like 180 Whp???
right now i have like 110Whp and it doesnt move to bad =/ lol

im thinking AEM cam gears. Cam shafts..Pulleys..I/H/E
maybe 180 is a little drastic?? what do you all think

180whp from a b18b is going to require a bump in compression (11:1+) and big cams (think crower 404) and a not so shitty intake and header

what about the addition of a intake manifold...better fuel rails...fuel pump...better injectors...

94 LS has 142 hp stock...roughly 40 hp in bolt ons and minor internal work...

what do u think is a better round about number?

142hp = ~120whp. you want to add another 60whp on top of that. a tall proposition, expensive too without boost. if you intend to boost later there are some things you cant use for both na and fi setups. figure out what your ultimate goal is and go from there.

true like headers...but what else...every thing i listed i believe could be used with a turbo set up down the road right...

true i forgot about the 142hp cut down to WHP or BHP...

i forgot a better clutch an flywheel...

is 8lbs to light for every day driving?
