Engine swap?
I have a 91' Integra i just bought... I am trying to decide whether to swap the stock 1.8 out for a b16 or to just modify the 1.8... The engine only has 85K on it and runs good. Im looking to spend around 3,000$... so anything in that price range.
Tell me what you guys think. Thanks!

Yeah. I dont know, ive had a very bad experience with buying engines off ebay, i have a 64' impala(for sale) and i bought a 350 for it... the guy totally ripped me off didnt send warranty, it ended up breaking down like 2 months after i got it.And now im in the middle of a lawsuite.. SO i really dont want to deal with ebay again..
Keep your 1.8 and just do some work to it.
It's got more displacement and consequently a bit more torque.
You can make it do everything and more, that the 1.6 can.
Plus, it runs good so why throw something away that's working fine.
Decide if you wanna go NA or FI and start building that 1.8 accordingly.
Those are my 0.02

Thanks man... I think i wanna go FI, How much PSI can that engine handle with out blowing up? hah,,, I know i prolly have to get forged pistons and all... any ways tell me if ya know.. thnx
Well, that's all dependent on how well the fuel system is managed and how well the engine's condition is or isnt.
The general theory is 7-9psi is fine on a stock block with minimal fuel and ignition management.
There are people who run more with no problems and people who run less with more problems, of course.... but that's a general idea.
I'd run about 9PSI and go with a Hondata or some other ECU Management system and larger injectors, better fuel pump, and dyno tuning.
Then you'd be good to go for even more (10-11-12?psi) and after that (perhaps after 10psi) expect to do some motor work.
