Default New Tires

I'm getting new summer/performance tires for my 95 GSR and dont know what to buy. The tires suggested at the tire place i go to were $125 a piece. I want decent performance tires, but I dont want to spend quite that much, what do you suggest? (the tire size is the standard one for the 95 GSR.)

I'm sure if you do some searching through our forum you'll see people asking similiar questions or comparing brands.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. If you're gonna keep tires for the winter, get performance all weather tires.

Falken Azenis in 205/50/15 for $73 a peice at vulcan tire. I was quoted $85 at discount tire just to mount and balance these. With the higher cost and low tread wear rating considered, I opted for BF Goodrich G Force instead. I couldn't be happier! They grip much better than the OEM XGT4's.

Running the Azeni 615s on a 15x7 rim, loving them!

BFG G-force are pretty expensive, I have the traction T/As and I love them but if you don't need all seasons there is no reason to get these. kuhmo's are really good for their price and will give you better wet traction then the azenis.

$71 a tire at discounttiredirect.com with free shipping for the G-force sports.

I have not had a good experience yet with Kumho tires. They are super sticky at first, but they wear so incredibly quickly and become almost unsafe at anything less than 40% tread.

Some may say that the Nitto NT450 is crap, but I like mine and do not have any complaints. I have taken some pretty sharp turns too and they have not let me down. This is the 3rd car I have had Nitto's on and IMO have been a reliable brand.
