do shocks typically get stiffer when its cold?
I've noticed that my konis get noticable stiffer when it gets cold. like last month when it was below zero for a few weeks it was getting almost unbearable. I didn't connect it to the cold until it got real warm all of the sudden I realized the ride was a lot smother. Oil viscosity is usually very temperature dependant so is this pretty normal and only noticable if you have a ride that is already stiff? Or is this something unique to Konis?

more likely it is a combination of cold bushing and cold tires
the rubber reacts much more to temperature change, and is not as forgiving, thus a more jarring ride and less smooth response
but i may be wrong

yes, its common that some shocks are stiffer when its cold. i asked this topic many years ago, but i forgot where the links were.
