Default How to set up a custom turbo kit for 96 LS using stock eclipse snail.

A friend of mine just got an engine swap for his 97 gst. His old engine had a larger aftermarket turbo. Long story short he wants to sell me the stock turbo off of his new jdm gst engine. What I wanna know is what a good price for it would be, and what other parts I'd have to get to make this work on my stock LS. I want to keep boost low because all I really want is better bottom end torque and acceleration. Also, I have an automatic tranny so alot of high end would be pointless. I'm keeping the stock exhaust, I know this will severely limit my power, but I'm not willing to give up the stock look and sound for more power. How much are all the other parts gonna cost to slap this on?

I'd offer $200-300 for that stock turbo (also note it's internally gated).

Eh i wouldn't waste time on an auto ls + turbo set-up but if you must, about $2000-2,500 more in parts if you look hard enough.

Don't buy that. Its a waste of money and time. Don't get involved in a project for that turbo. Atleast get a big 16g or something. You can get them for $200 more than you'd pay for that turbo, and it is a much better turbo.

IMO, turbo charging your automatic ls is like wiping before you poop, it don't make no sense.
