It's just which is better for me.

I want good throttle response and good power, nothing HIGH BOOST, just wanna run around 400ish H.P. Maybe even 370 h.p
Buy a gsr motor!! easier to tune, you will probably get closer to 400hp with that block than a type R block both running with stock internals just do to the C/R!!

What engine do you have now? If you already have a GSR, just rebuild it with forged internals. Much better option for boost.

Well as far as rebuilding goes, what parts are needed for a typical rebuild?

depends on how much you want to spend and how much power you want to make.

you can do an oem rebuild and only cost you $1-2k. or do a complete performance rebuild and cost you $2-4k+.

Forged pistons & rods, Bore & hone for a fresh surface. At the same time, replace the valve guides, stem seals, and all other gaskets. Looking at around 2k. You could easily make 400+ WHP

You obviously do not live close to mexicans and Tijuana.
