I was wondering if all 99 integra and up run at high RPM. I set my cruise control at 80 mph and my RPM is at 4.3 does that sound about right? Where does your RPM seat at around 80 mph or 60mph?

 

80 and 4300 is about right. Everyone that ever borrows my car calls me and says "the engine is revving really high, is this normal?" You're good.

 

Yup that's about right......my gsr is around that rpm range at 80, these engines love to rev.

Yeah most auto integras/hondas run about 3.5-4rpm

I think he has a gsr and therefore over 4k for 80 sounds right. I'll tell you after my drive home today

 

80+ mph - 4k+ rpm is normal for me...

 

Or you could just use math. h:

* Figure out the vehicle speed in feet / second.
* Calculate rolling circumference of the wheel & tire.
* Then go backwards through the final drive and 5th gear ratio to get crank rpm.

Since we're talking about the DC2, 4.3K @ 80mph sounds about right.
