This is the most retarded thread I have ever read. No further comment on all the stupidity flying around.

ive never personally turbod a VTEC Car..but isnt it true that turboing a vtec cr with no other mods wont last to long...but ive seen a 1995 LS with 125K miles on it get turboed with no other mods an to this day have not had any problems with it...currently has 175*** miles on it....so all im askin an i dont see why its a "stupid question" is replacing the ecu on the GSR to not crack VTEC similar to LS but with greather compression..this would create less stress on the unmodified engine...how is this a stupid thread or a retarded question?????

Short answer: The entire premise for your question is flawed.

Slightly longer answer: You are attributing the failure of the "GSRs in your area" to components that do not influence the reliability of the motor.

Both GSSR and Däs Schmoo own turbocharged GSRs that are perfectly reliable with their VTEC valvetrains unmolested. That alone should point out the depth of your flawed logic.

Lastly, throw some punctuation into that mess of a post.

We're all getting tired of sifting through verbal sewage in an attempt to derive meaning from your posts.

As the OtherDave said, this is completely flawed thinking. I have vtec and I have had a turbo on the car for over two years. The reason the cars around you don't last long is probably because they have half assed fuel management/tuning. Vtec and turbo go very well together with proper tuning and you will be losing a lot of power by attempting to disable your vtec because of your skewed thinking.

People who blow their VTEC motors when they turbo don't have a clue what they're doing. Just like nitrous, it takes proper tuning and you will have a healthy motor for years to come.
