Can't seem to locate any shift positions on the shifter ( I could before ), Problem occured when I was driving, am wondering if anyone has any idea what problem may be? Think it may be just a shift cable but not sure. If it is the case, is this type of repair simple?

i seem not to follow to what you are asking for. things of that nature are very easy to fix, i installed my own shift linkage with bushings with ease, total install time not even an hour.

 

I agree with DaGip, I have no clue what you are talking about.... Auto or manual?

 

def. manual. id raise the car up and see what is preventing your shifter from engauging. Or...how many miles are on the transmission???

 

If I think what your saying is you cannot engage the gears, and you have a useless wand in your hand, then most likely the retaining clip and cotter fell out. Rendering a useless shifter.

 

That is what he is saying. I gave him plenty of things to check via PM, so he knows what needs to be done to fix it.
