heat sheild?? mine does the same thing not sure what it is i just thought it was cause my cat was empty....

Mine used to do this during cold conditions. I replaced the intake manifold gasket, torqued to spec in the correct pattern. Problem solved!

Also to the thread starter: When was the last time you replaced your air filter? Check that a vac line didn't work its way loose. Or the intake pipe on the T-Body.

I hope between all the suggestions you figure something out. A video or sound recording would certinly help in diagnosis. Good luck!

aftermarker radio? amp? is the sound protruding from you drivers side speaker? if so check your ground connections

I think i know what it is and will confirm soon. I suspect the AC clutch.
